The soft, Spring rain....bringing showers for May flowers....

Earth laughs in flowers. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson, "Hamatreya"

 I'd rather have roses on my table than diamonds on my neck. ~Emma Goldman

Soon fresh flowers on the table...the scent in the air....

 ooh BBQ's coming ...family and friends gather.....

 Nighttime outdoors in the Spring...chilly but oh so lovely......*

Perfumes are the feelings of flowers, and as the human heart, imagining itself alone and unwatched, feels most deeply in the night-time, so seems it as if the flowers, in musing modesty, await the mantling eventide ere they give themselves up wholly to feeling, and breathe forth their sweetest odours. Flow forth, ye perfumes of my heart, and seek beyond these mountains the dear one of my dreams! ~Heinrich Heine, "The Hartz Journey" (1824), Pictures of Travel, translated from German by Charles Godfrey Leland, 1855

Our spring has come at last with the soft laughter of April suns and shadow of April showers. ~Byron Caldwell Smith, letter to Kate Stephens

And Spring arose on the garden fair,
Like the Spirit of Love felt everywhere;
And each flower and herb on Earth’s dark breast
rose from the dreams of its wintry rest.
~Percy Bysshe Shelley, "The Sensitive Plant"

Oh a bit late to send Easter wishes....but there is nothing quite like Easter, and the traditions it carries in the heart....special things...home made bread, kielbasa, eggs and so much more....better still, the family all together ...so special when the family is together...my most favorite times of all~ and
Spring...soon here, the buds will peek out from  the hard earth...the buds on the trees..birds singing...a time of joy and renewal...warmth...sun....*

April is a promise that May is bound to keep. ~Hal Borland

The year’s at the spring
And day’s at the morn;
Morning’s at seven;
The hillside’s dew-pearled;
The lark’s on the wing;
The snail’s on the thorn;
God’s in His heaven -
All’s right with the world!
~Robert Browning
