Ah...a rainy cool day...I can't believe it..so hot and humid lately I thought it would never end. We sure don't need anymore rain, but the cool that has come with it...so wonderful.
Well, it's only for a day...but I'll take it...and enjoy every moment of it.
The littlest things in our lives are most times the best things......
Sunday...I love the quiet of Sundays...living in the city..all week long the sounds of trucks and traffic, helicopters and planes...workmen running their machines........and then Sunday comes.
No work allowed, no busy hustle and bustle to and from the city. What a joyful day.
I love the peaceful silence.

Let the rain kiss you. Let the rain beat upon your head with silver liquid drops. Let the rain sing you a lullaby. ~Langston Hughes

Another summer...

A year has passed...so much happening....but once again summer is here...the sweet soft scents in the air...the warm sun on the skin...the rainy days ...the hot days...and the cooler ones when I can open the windows...hear the birds singing their songs....all back once again.
The fruits.....the berries...yum... the ice cream that just tastes that much better in the summer....the corn and all that comes with the season...so special.
Life seems to pass so quickly......you have to take it all in, enjoy it while we have it.

"Self-respect cannot be hunted. It cannot be purchased. It is never for sale. It cannot be fabricated out of public relations. It comes to us when we are alone, in quiet moments, in quiet places, when we suddenly realize that, knowing the good, we have done it; knowing the beautiful, we have served it; knowing the truth we have spoken it". ~Whitney Griswold

 When Winter's gone to rest,
And Spring is our dear guest;
The Merry May, at break of day,
Comes in gay garlands drest.
The brightest smiles she brings—
Of sweetest hopes she sings
And trips a-pace with dainty grace
And lightest fairy wings.
~S.J. Adair Fitz-Gerald (1859–1925)
